A new title, developed by Sony’s San Diego Studios, was shown at Sony’s E3 press conference, supposedly being another game to brandish the design philosophy of “create. play. share,” fostered by LittleBigPlanet. Mod Nation Racers is a racing title with an incredible easy to use level creation feature, and almost infinitely customizable racing chibi-characters and vehicles. To emphasize the pick-up-and-play nature of the IP, two of the game’s developers created a level from scratch during the live demo in less than five minutes. Like LittleBigPlanet, the new racer is also set to have an immense and active online community for uploaded levels to be shared and pitted against other amateur creations. Levels can be optimized from the ground up, with even sea level and time of day up for the creator’s imagination.
