Electronic Arts recently announced the first downloadable boxer pack will be available for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in late August. Headlining the new batch of contenders is Oscar De La Hoya, who will be joined by the virtual versions of Vitali Klitschko and Wladimir Klitschko. Alternate versions of George Foreman and James Toney will also be featured in the DLC. In addition to the new faces to the ring, EA Sports has detailed a downloadable game update patch, to also premiere at the end of this month. This patch will include new trunk, glove, and short types, in addition to a remodeled control scheme that lets players use the face buttons to throw punches (the analog sticks were the previous mode of input in the game’s original release.) A demo of this updated gameplay will provided by the company for both PS3 and 360 by early September, using Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali as the two main fighters.
“We are extremely excited to be able to add Oscar and the Klitschko brothers as part of our roster,” said executive producer, Dean Richards. “As three of the most globally recognized names in the sport, they are an important addition to the Fight Night Round 4 lineup.”
The downloadable boxer pack will retail for 800 Microsoft Points and $10 on the Playstation Network when it arrives later this month.
