Part 1 of the SNES Super Star Wars trilogy is now available for Wii owners to purchase through the Virtual Console with Empire and Jedi to be made available in the next few weeks.  Each title will cost you 800 Wii Points and while it seems that LucasArts continues to milk the Star Wars cash cow, at least this batch of milk is much to our liking.

In the first part of the trilogy, you can play as Luke, Han Solo, or Chewbacca during the events of A New Hope, wielding everything from lightsabers to blasters and killing everything from Jawas to Stormtroopers.  The game also featured vehicle sections utilizing the SNES’ amazing Mode 7 graphics capabilities.
