Ubisoft announced today that a Nintendo DS / DSi version of the upcoming third-person action/adventure Assassin’s Creed II will be released on November 20th, alongside the European release of the console-version of this game. In the United States, Assassins Creed II will release on November 17th. This Nintendo DS version will be known as Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery. For more information, please follow the link.
Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery will be set in the same timeline as the console game. It tells a new chapter of the story in which the protagonist Ezio travels to Spain in an attempt to aid some his fellow assassins that are being held captive by the Inquisition. Once there, Ezio discover that the Templars are involved in this capture and are currently planning to set sail to the “New World.”
Nintendo DSi owners will be able to utilize the DSi camera to place their appearance on “Wanted!” posters within the game.
The game is currently in development by Griptonite Games, which has a long history of developing handheld versions for notable franchises.
Not expecting much from this… I mean it was just announced and it’s set for a release in November? No thanks.
