A sequel to the arcade-style shoot-em-up hit Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer has been announced for winter 09-10. Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype has been announced as a Playstation 3 exclusive through the Playstation Network. According to the press release, the game promises to deliver:
- Seven levels staged across Underwater Worlds, Ice Caves, Tunnel Worlds and space.
- HD graphics with 3D backgrounds in up to 1080p.
- Dynamic score-linked difficulty system, making the game accessible for newcomers, yet challenging and rewarding for hardcore gamers.
- Brand new limit attacks and fourfold chaser system.
- New bullet pattern system.
- Detailed online high score ranking tables and replay file sharing.
