Square Enix has announced that Japanese sci-fi RPG Star Ocean: The Last Hope will be released on the Playstation 3 in February next year. The game is the fourth instalment in the series that debuted on the SNES in 1996. Star Ocean: The Last Hope was released for the Xbox 360 on the 24th of February this year. The most important change is that the Playstation 3 version will include both the original Japanese voiceovers and the English ones. The English voiceovers were amongst the most important points of criticism the game received upon it’s release in Western territories. Additionally, the written text in the game will be localized for European regions, including text in French, Spanish and Italian.
The game, developed by the Square Enix-owned tri-Ace Studio, will be releasd for the Playstation 3 on the 9th of February in the United States. In PAL regions, the game will be released on the 12th of February.
