In a recent interview with Cinematical.com, legendary film director / producer John Woo stated that a Stranglehold movie looms on the horizon. Released in 2007 on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, Stranglehold has long been rumoured to receive a movie adaptation. The game itself was a sequel to 1992’s Honk Kong action film Hard Boiled. No release window for the movie was stated by John Woo, though it does not appear that the movie is far along in the planning stages. Woo is currently engaged in two other movie projects, indicating that the Stranglehold film might be quite a while away.
