Braid, World of Goo Devs Collaborate on Indie Fund

On March 3rd, developers for some of the most acclaimed independent releases of last year have announced their funding of a self-explanatory Indie Fund. Braid developer Jonathan Blow, World of Goo devs Ron Carmel and Kyle Gabler, Armadillo Gold Rush creator Aaron Isaksen, and employee of thatgamecompany (the makers of flOwer) Kellee Santiago will reveal their collaborative projects within the fund later this week at the Game Developer’s Conference.

“Indie Fund is a brand new funding source for independent developers, created by a group of successful indies looking to encourage the next wave of game developers,” reads the Indie Fund website. “It was established as a serious alternative to the traditional publisher funding model. Our aim is to support the growth of games as a medium by helping indie developers get financially independent and stay financially independent.”

Well as an independent online radio station I fully support this indie game fund.

Now only if my funds could fill my xbox with indie games….
