Alan Wake, the self-proclaimed ‘psychological action thriller’ by Remedy Entertainment, has gone gold. Matias Mullyrinne, managing director of the Finnish studio, revealed that news earlier today via twitter. Alan Wake was first shown at the E3 2005 and originally slated for the PC as well as the Xbox 360, but the PC-version was dropped earlier this year. The game, which has been in development for more than 6 years, is set for a release in the United States on May 18th.
Microsoft also announced earlier today that the European release of Alan Wake has been moved ahead by a full week. Alan Wake was intended to go on sale in Europe on May 21st, three days after the release in the United States. However, the game will now hit the European shelves on May 14th.
