Konami has revealed that the upcoming hack & slash RPG Nintey-Nine Nights II will include cooperative play for two players. Split-screen cooperative play will not be supported, and players will have to team up through Xbox Live in order to venture onto the battlefield together.

Similar to the original Nintety-Nine Nights, released in 2006, the game will include a range of different characters, fighting styles and equipment. The story revolves around a hero known as Galen who fights the Army of the Night and its leader, the Lord of the Night. A set of new screenshots for the game can be found after the jump. Ninety-Nine Nights will be available exclusively for the Xbox 360 and is scheduled for a release in Spring 2010 in Japan. A release date for the United States or Europe is not available at this time.
