There are few words in the English language that are better than the word “FREE.”
“Burrito” comes close… but nothing is better than free.
University of Maryland is holding a free Gamer Symphony Orchestra (GSO) show on Saturday, May 8, 2010. They show will feature music from Final Fantasy VII, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Katamari Damacy, and more.
The orchestra’s 100-plus members include a 32-person chorus, which sings both on its own and together with the instrumentalists.
Doors open at 2:30PM in the Dekelboum Concert Hall in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park, MD. The concert will start at 3 and last about 2 hours.
So if you’re an Elder-Geek in the DC area, you should do your best to check this out. If you’re a Terp gamer, your presence should be mandatory.
For more information, or if you’d like to make a donation to GSO, please visit the GSO website. There you can even check out recordings of previous GSO shows.
FREEBURRITO might be a better word. If only it were a real word

Most excellent. Wrong coast for me to attend, but this idea of “free” is getting closer to me….I can feel it…
