Following a positive reception of Yakuza 3 in Europe and the United States, SEGA has announced that it will release Yakuza 4 in western territories during Spring 2011. As with the previous installment in the series, the game will be available exclusively for the Playstation 3.

The game has already been available in Japan since March 18th earlier this year, and once again revolves around protagonist Kiryu Kazuma. In addition to this, three more characters will be available to play, each having a unique backstory and an influence on the overall plot.

More details regarding this Western release are expected to be unveiled at the upcoming E3.

  1. I’m not a fan… but I know a lot of people that are.

I think it’s funny that NA got Yakuza 3 at the same time that Japan got Yakuza 4.
