Although not set for release until September 14th, Halo: Reach leaks have been coming in from multiple fronts on the internet. While spoilers have popped across Bungie’s own forums and popular haunts like NeoGAF, more thorough grabs at the game have been confirmed by modders at Game-Tut.com. Codes for the game are currently selling for $1250, although a special code is needed to download copies. Many attribute these extremely early leaks to the game code’s posting on Xbox Live for reviewers.
Microsoft has since responded to the leak and its dangers, releasing an official statement saying “We are aware of claims being made regarding a security exploit related to Halo: Reach and are aggressively investigating the matter. We have no further details to share at this time.”
