  1. My money is going toward New Vegas. I’ve been playing Fallout 3 since my baby was born (games that pause well work for baby) and I’m ready to just slide into New Vegas.

    1. I REALLY want New Vegas to be good, but I’m also completely worried that Obsidian might goof it up despite the fact they’ve made some of my favorite games of all time. I’m not slated to review that one. I believe Jesse is, so I’m going to wait and see what he says about it before I play it.

      I’m also worried about Medal of Honor. I played the beta and wasn’t too keen on what I saw. But a lot of time has passed since the beta. They could have made some monstrous improvements.

      The two I’m most excited for are Lords of Shadow and Force Unleashed 2.

      1. I’d like to see New Vegas actually have some relationship building, and no that doesn’t just mean romance options. That’s an attribute that’s been severely lacking in my experience with Bethesda games. I’d like to see Obsidian turn that around in this one.

        Medal of Honor Beta sucked for me as well. I’d hope it’s changed for the better since then. I would think it has to if EA really wants to challenge CoD. With the Infinity Ward and dedicated server disasters, this is probably the best chance EA is going to get to capitalize.

        I will definitely be getting Force Unleashed 2! Very happy to see it’s going to be on PC. I never played the first, but I saw all the cut-scenes, which basically was like watching a mini-movie and let me know everything that happened.

        This has been a crazy good year for games thus far, and it’s not even over yet!

      2. @”Obsidian might goof it up”
        ¬¬

        Yeah, ‘cuz the town with inmortal fungus eating children was serious sh1t. If you said “Obsidian might wreck it with bugs galore”, well, i’d still wouldn’t let you go, but there’s no way FO:NV can be “goofier” than FO3’s retardfest.

        @ontopic
        Don’t care about nuthin’ but NV. Might give MoH a spin if SP is not as awful as BC2’s and if you guy give it the thumbs up. But prolly not.

  2. I’ll be getting Medal of Honor eventually just because of the Medal of Honor Frontline HD remake that’s bundled with the PS3 version. I have the Collector’s Edition of Lords of Shadow preordered, and same with Fallout: New Vegas.

  3. I am waiting to see how good Lords of Shadows turns out since the 3D Castlevania titles have sucked. Also looking forward to how MoH turns out as well with all this controversy.

    I am waiting on all games pretty much because text books cost me a lot this quarter so it is cutting way into my game purchasing budget (that and making sure I have money for Epic Mickey).

  4. I’m hedging all my bets on Lords of Shadow. I’d like MoH to do well, but honestly I couldn’t get into Bad Company 2 and this looks like it might be more of the same. I had a hard time seeing what the big deal was about Fable 2, and I think we’ve all learned by this point that Molyneux tends to exaggerate a bit concerning what his games can do.

    1. Concerning Molyneux… I completely ignore all his interviews and I also ignore as many previews / trailers that I can for his games. They tend to be much less disappointing when I get my hands on the final product that way.

      I thought Fable 2 was a totally solid game, but I also probably only watched maybe 1 trailer for it.

      Trailer abstinence makes gaming better for me.
