Jason Bender, senior designer at Blizzard Entertainment, has statement in an interview with VG247.com that he believes the highly-anticipated action-rpg Diablo III is “suited to consoles.” Though the game has always been designed as a PC-exlcusive, Bender indicates that question of moving the game to other platforms has been ongoing throughout development of the title.
Despite long-standing rumors, Bender indicated that the development team is currently dedicated entirely to developing the game for PC. The original Diablo from 1997 was released for the first-generation Playstation in 1998, but the sequel from 2000 failed to move to any platform other than PC. No release date for Diablo III has been announced yet.
