In an interview with Jalopnik.com, CEO of Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi stated that the ever-delayed Gran Turismo 5 is being pressed “as we speak.” Gran Turismo 5 was delayed last month, with Sony stating that the game would be released around the Holiday season. The game was originally set to be released yesterday, on November 2nd. If the game has indeed “gone gold”, it remains possible that the game will be released in December, as most publishers don’t need more than a few weeks to ship titles to retailers.
The statement by Yamauchi has not yet been confirmed by publisher Sony.
