“Resident Evil: Afterlife” was the most recent movie in the series of the game adaptations, and according to series star Milla Jovovich, another one is on it’s way. “Resident Evil: Afterlife” earned close to $200 million internationally despite its poor reviews to this date.
“If it makes more money than the last one, you’d think that people want to see another one, so we’ll do another one.” said Milla Jovovich.

The upcoming movie – tentatively titled “Resident Evil 5” – will be made in 3D and is slated for release on September 14th, 2012, the same month as the previous 3 films in the franchise.

Going to avoid this like the T-virus. I stopped watching after the second one, cause they messed with the serious a bit too much. The first movie was decent, but the second was a disaster.
When they want to make an actual cannon Resident Evil movie, then I will be interested, but count me out on this new one.
