From fanciful Halloweens to Matryoshka dolls, Double Fine has taken players to unique places with each of its new downloadable games at a pretty steady pace. With little pause after the release of its latest, Stacked, Double Fine has already announced its next game, Trenched.
The self-proclaimed “manliest game ever” by company founder Tim Schafer, Trenched is a mech-combat game that seems to combine the mech-warrior spirit of games like Dynasty Warrior Gundam with the addictive multiplayer customization abilities of titles like Battlefield Heroes. Only an announcement trailer exists for the game now, but it is set to launch exclusively for the Xbox Live Arcade sometime later this year.
