‘Final Fantasy’ to Make 3DS Debut with Rhythm Game

The terms Final Fantasy and “music-rhythm game” don’t exactly mesh, but Square Enix is readying to change that with the upcoming Theatrhythm Final Fantasy for Nintendo 3DS. The game, which debuted in the latest issue of Shonen Jump (translated by Andriasang), will feature music and characters from the franchise, players tapping to on-screen cues in time with the tunes. It’s expected that this is the new game teased by Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura.

Could a Final Fantasy themed music-rhythm game work? What tunes from the franchise would you most like to tap to? Post your thoughts in the comments section!
