Starting tomorrow, Sony is beginning its latest Playstation Network push with its new “Only on PSN” program. Every week the Playstation Store will bring new platform-exclusive content, in addition to a collection of “rare, classic games” from last generation (including God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Odin Sphere, and Ring of Red). Playstation Plus subscribers get a week-long 20% discount for each new “Only on PSN” game, and any PSN account holders that spend $60 or more – on any content – during October will get $10 of store credit. For a full schedule of the “Only on PSN” releases, follow the jump.

October 4th – Eufloria, Rochard

October 11th – Sideway: New York

October 18th – Sodium Collection

October 25th – inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood, PixelJunk: Sidescroller

“‘Only On PlayStation Network’ is our line of great exclusive games that users can count on to deliver exciting game experiences that can’t be found anywhere else,” said Susan Panico, senior director of PlayStation Network, SCEA.  “This strong initial content offering, combined with the day one discounts for PlayStation Plus subscribers and the ‘Spend $60, Get $10 Back’ promotion, makes PlayStation Network the premier destination for digital content.”

  1. I am kinda excited to see some PS2 games going for sales on PSN, but I would be more thrilled when I actually see what they are priced at.

This is something that Sony has been needing for some time to promote PSN sales. The one thing Sony needs more of on PSN are Shmups, and bullet h3lls at that (Espgaluda, Touhou, DoDonPachi, etc.). This is something that the 360 has and is probably the only thing that is tempting me to want to buy a 360 (I have a PC for the reason I don’t have a 360 with the exception of some XBLA titles, and a PS3 for all multiplatform titles I don’t buy on PC).
