Tretton Reveals Vita Release Date for the West

At the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco earlier today, Sony Computer Entertainment of America head Jack Tretton clarified what they meant when they said gamers could their hands on the Vita in “early 2012″. The newest Playstation handheld will be hitting store shelves in North America, Latin America, and Europe on February 22nd, at the previously revealed price points of $249 (Wi-Fi) and $299 (3G, via AT&T).

    Awesome. This should give them enough time to have a strong launch and post launch line up, something that Nintendo should have had. Now to wait and see what games will be available for launch, and the pricing of said games.
