At the recently held Montpellier in Game 2011 summit, both Jordan Mechner (Prince of Persia) and Michel Ancel (Rayman) briefly discussed some of the first concrete details on Beyond Good and Evil 2. All of our specifics are coming from the French website Beyond Good and Evil Myth.
Mechner and Ancel spent most of the time speaking on how India has been a major source of artistic inspiration for the concept and design teams, leading to a design that mixes the futuristic aesthetics of the original Beyond Good and Evil with a more classic Indian style. Unfortunately that is the extent of the new information revealed thus far, although Jordan and Michel’s choice of panel (a discussion on the comparative importance of story vs. gameplay) could bear some hints as to the sequel’s development priorities.
