Game streaming service Gaikai has seen its web presence expand exponentially in the last six months, and new deals with Best Buy, Ubisoft, and Youtube are only adding to the growth. The specifics of the partnerships have not been released to the public yet, although it is expected that Best Buy will use Gaikai as a means of competing with Gamestop’s Impulse game download service.
The goal for Gaikai in 2012 is to reach “100 million eyeballs”, according to a VentureBeat interview with CEO David Perry. Gaikai has inked deals with Capcom and Sega, many other publishers and websites having signed on since the service launched last February (with some launch support from Electronic Arts).
