MCV reports that Age of Conan and Secret World-developer Funcom is currently working on a new MMO based on the Lego franchise. Funcom is hoping to create a more accessible and family-friendly online experience than its previous titles, and is looking to release it for as many platforms as possible.
The news of a new Lego-based MMO comes less than 6 months after Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment shut down the servers for Lego Universe after a run of a mere 15 months of active service. At that time, the developers stated they had not been able to establish a successful revenue-model amongst it’s target audience.
It is currently not known when Funcom is aiming to release the new title, which currently goes without a name.
