This fall, the Smithsonian’s “Art of Video Games” exhibit will be traveling across the country on a National Tour. From Oct. 24th, 2012 through Jan 25th, 2016, this historical look at the industry will be running a 10-city tour, stopping in locations from Washington State to Florida.
According to Side Mission, the exhibit will host, ” the history of gaming from the Atari VCS to the PS3 with playable demos and art galleries of 80 new and classic titles. It also includes video interviews with such notable names as Nolan Bushnell, David Cage, Ken Levine and Tommy Tallarico.” In an attempt to further explore the idea of games as art, the Smithsonian has said that they will be trying to, “demonstrate the evolution of the medium.”
