According to a report by Joystiq, the latest issue of Famitsu has unveiled an upcoming rerelease of several Kingdom Hearts titles in a single bundle for the Playstation 3. The bundle will officially be known as Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, and contains HD versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts – Re:Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. The HD versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts – Re:Chain of Memories will be updated ports of the Playstation 2 games, though the latter was itself a port of an earlier game for the Game Boy Advance. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be making its way to Sony consoles for the very first time, as the game has only been released on the Nintendo DS until now.
At this time, Square Enix has only confirmed the HD-remakes to be slated for a release in Japan some time in 2013. Whether or not there are any plans to bring it to Western territories is unclear at this time.
