Following the news that Microsoft has ditched its DRM policies on the Xbox One, EA has confirmed it still has no intention to bring it back. Electronic Arts had cancelled its Online Pass program last month, a move which earned the company some much needed positive attention.
“[There is] no change to our decision to discontinue Online Pass,” EA senior director of corporate communications John Reeseburg said to Polygon, in part. “It is dead.”
“Nothing else on todays news, but did want it to be clear that our online pass decision was based on player feedback, and there’s no change.”
