Australian games marketing firm Surprise Attack has expanded into publishing with the launch of Surprise Attack Games, and has already announced its first three titles.
Surprise Attack Games describes itself “as Australia’s first games label focused on working with independent developers.” The firm “aims to be a new kind of games publisher, focused on partnering with independent teams in the local game development community.” The publisher will work with developers to secure funding and also assist with both marketing and distribution.
Surprise Attack Games’ first three titles include: PixelPickle’s Burden, a story driven tower defence game set for PC, Mac and tablets; See Through Studios’ Particulars, an arcade action puzzle game in the world of subatomic particles for PC, Mac and Linux; and Anomolous’ Wolfdozer, a game where the player takes on the role of The Big Bad Wolf in a bulldozer to enact revenge on the Three Little Pigs. The latter game is described as “GTA meets the Three Little Pigs.”
Burden, Particulars and Wolfdozer will all be playable at PAX Australia which takes place July 19-21, 2013.
