Valve’s former director of business, Jason Holtman, has confirmed to GamesIndustry International that he is now working at Microsoft.
“Yes, I have joined Microsoft where I will be focusing on making Windows a great platform for gaming and interactive entertainment,” Holtman said, in part. “I think there is a lot of opportunity for Microsoft to deliver the games and entertainment customers want and to work with developers to make that happen, so I’m excited to be here.”
Holtman joined Valve in 2005, where he played a key role in developer relations being one of the company’s primary contacts for developers using Valve’s digital distribution platform, Steam. Holtman departed Valve in February among layoffs in the company’s hardware and Android divisions.
