The Xbox One’s game recording feature will be restricted to Xbox Live Gold members, Microsoft has confirmed to One Hit Pixel.
“I can confirm that Game DVR features will be available to Xbox Live Gold members only,” a Microsoft representative told One Hit Pixel.
The Xbox One’s Game DVR will allow Gold members to record up to 5 minutes of in-game footage, which they can then edit and upload to Xbox Live. Marc Whitten confirmed earlier this week that the Game DVR will record 720p at 30 frames per second. The Xbox Live features page shows which features will be exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
