According to a post on the Kickstarter blog, co-founder Yancey Strickler has been named the company’s new CEO.
Strickler will officially begin his new role as CEO on January 1st, when the current CEO and co-founder Perry Chen switches his role to chairman. Charles Adler, the third co-founder will be moving back to Chicago with his family however he will stay connected in an advisory role.
“Yancey has the love and respect of the team, first and foremost me. As a partner, I’m excited to work with him in this new way,” Chen wrote, in part. “As a friend, I’m even more excited for him. Kickstarter is in phenomenal hands.”
