Activision Blizzard has announced that former Warner Bros. Entertainment CEO Barry M. Meyer has joined the company’s board of directors and its nominating and corporate governance committee.
Meyer joined Warner Bros. as director of business affairs in 1971. From January 2009 he has served as CEO and Chairman of the board at Warner Bros. Entertainment. Meyer stepped down as CEO in March last year, and then retired as chairman at the end of 2013.
Activision Blizzard acquired its own shares from parent company Vivendi in a deal worth $8 billion last year, which resulted in Activision Blizzard becoming an independent company again.
