Washington-based studio, Airtight Games, has quietly closed the doors of its headquarters less than a month after the release of its latest game Murdered: Soul Suspect, Geekwire reports.
Earlier this year the company confirmed a small number of layoffs to IGN. “Layoffs like this are regrettable but part of the natural ebb and flow of game production,” Airtight president Jim Deal said, in part. “Airtight Games is actively seeking partners for exciting upcoming projects.”
Since the news of the studio’s closure, Airtight Games has posted a farewell message to its Twitter account. “Thanks to all of the fans, family, friends and colleagues who supported us and made the last 10 years possible. Thanks to all of the amazing people that worked on Dark Void, Quantum Conundrum, Murdered, Soul Fjord, Pixld and DerpBike.”
