Payday: The Heist is going free for 24 hours on October 18th, as a result of 1,050,000 fans joining the Payday 2 Steam group.
Developer Overkill is running a Crimefest promotion which rewards players who join the group at each milestone it reaches. At 1,100,000 all members will receive a Bain mask for Payday 2 and at 1,500,000 “secret stuff” will be revealed.
Once players download Payday: The Heist on October 18th, it will be theirs to keep forever however it must be downloaded within the 24 hour period.
