Dave Cox has announced today that he is leaving Konami, after 17 years at the company.
Cox made the announcement on his Twitter, explaining that his departure from Konami came as part of a desire to explore new opportunities.
“After seventeen years I have decided to leave Konami to explore new opportunities. Today is my final day with the company #endofanera,” Cox wrote, in part. “So what’s next? Something I’ve wanted to do for a long time… Gonna take a break and then tell you all about it!”
During his time at Konami, Cox oversaw several major IP including PES, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Suikoden and most recently the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series.
