BioWare has announced that Dragon Age: Inquisition will include multiplayer in the form of an “action-packed dungeon-crawling four-player co-op experience.”
“Following the success of Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode, Dragon Age multiplayer includes fast-paced matches requiring strategic team gameplay while adding Inquisition’s tactical class combat and extensive loot and crafting systems,” BioWare wrote in a FAQ on the game’s website, in part.
The multiplayer has been kept separate from the single player campaign as well. “In SP, you have the support of three specialists who can send agents to missions. MP characters are agents,” BioWare explained. “At the start of a MP mission, you will hear one of the specialists explaining the goal of your mission.”
“We simply want to give our fans the chance to play with their friends for the first time in the Dragon Age universe.”
The FAQ also notes that while there will be a platinum currency which can be purchased with money, anything in the game can be purchased with in-game gold goins. “There will be no pay wall.”
