Sony has announced that PlayStation Mobile will no longer be supported on Android devices. Certified devices using Android 4.4.2 and below will still be able to use PlayStation Mobile, however newer devices may not be able to play games properly or access the service, and the upcoming Android L will have no PlayStation Mobile features at all.
PlayStation Mobile launched in 2012, and aimed to provide a dedicated space for Sony to sell PlayStation One titles and PlayStation affiliated indie games to certified devices.
In recent years, Sony has struggled to find games to put on the service, as the majority of its most successful indie titles were release exclusively for PlayStation consoles on the PlayStation Store.
