BioWare has announced Shadow of Revan, the latest expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The expansion will raise the level cap to 60, adds 5 more levels of story-driven missions, new high-level Flashpoints and Operations as well as new worlds to explore.
“In Shadow of Revan, a long-hidden sect of extremists has emerged from the ongoing war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic,” reads the press release, in part. “This group is led by Revan, the former hero of the Jedi Civil War. These fanatical “Revanites” are gathering an army with an apocalyptic plan that will leave the Republic and the Empire in ashes. Players will prepare to face Revan and adventure alongside a host of intriguing characters, including Theron Shan, Lana Beniko, and Jakarro the Wookiee.”
Shadow of Revan will cost $19.99 and release on December 9th, however bonus content is available to those who pre-order before certain dates. Those who pre-order by November 2nd will receive one week of early access to the expansion beginning December 2nd, an exclusive Revan statue for display in player strongholds, as well as the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion. Pre-orders placed before December 1st will still receive the statue and Rise of the Hutt Cartel, however they will not receive the early access to Shadow of Revan.
Subscribers who pre-order the expansion will gain a 12x experience boost while playing through their class story missions up to level 55, this boost will begin as soon as the expansion is pre-ordered and will expire on December 1st, 2014.
