Rumors began early this week that AOL would be shutting down a number of its media outlets including gaming site Joystiq. Today, the news has been confirmed.
Editor-in-chief Ludwig Kietzmann noted on his Twitter, that the website will continue publishing until Tuesday, February 3rd.
TechCrunch reports that Joystiq will become a sub-channel of Engadget, and in the process some staff members including news content director Alexander Sliwinski and feature content director Xav de Matos will be let go.
