Deep Silver has announced that Homefront: The Revolution will now release in 2016.
The project is being developed by Dambuster Studios, which was founded last year following the closure of Crytek U.K. following the financial problems of Crytek. This was also when Deep Silver purchased the Homefront IP.
“Dambuster Studios are an extraordinarily talented group,” said Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Deep Silver, in a statement. “We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this. You can expect to hear more about the game later this year.”
Dambuster is staffed by over 120 individuals, the majority of which came directly from Crytek UK. Hasit Zala, team lead and lead programmer for Timesplitters 2 and Timesplitters: Future Perfect, is heading up both the studio and Homefront: The Revolution.
