Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the closed beta phase for Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty has officially begun. The company has sent out thousands of invites to players that will be able to provide feedback on both the game as well as the newly revamped Battle.net service that will be launched alongside Starcraft II later this year.
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty is scheduled for a release at some point during the first half of 2010, and will be the first instalment in the trilogy of which Starcraft II consists.
If only I had opted into the beta all those months ago. Well, I should register at some point and hope to get into it later on.
