Viacom’s looking like it really wants to cut all ties to the video game industry. A report out of MCV claims that MTV Games, another subsidiary studio of the media giant, was closed down after the sale of Harmonix. With little left holding Viacom in game development, it seems like if the corporation wants to continue having its logo on games, it will have to be digital-downloads going forward.
Without Harmonix, there really is no reason to have MTV Games, as it is good they are not trying to pump out a Jersey Shores game or some other licensed game.
Oh god, don’t even joke like that. If I ever saw a Jersey Shore game, I don’t know what I’d do.
