The console modders at Hyperkin have created the Supaboy. A portable SNES console, the device works with tangible Nintendo cartridges, with two controller ports and a TV port. The system itself is shaped like and functions like a controller, with 5 ½ hours of battery life and a 3.5-inch screen. No word yet on whether Nintendo will allow such a product into open market, but its existence alone is cause for celebration.
Does the Supaboy set your hearts aflutter, E-Gs? Or are you reserved in the knowledge that Nintendo probably isn’t going to let this one fly? Give us your thoughts below!
That looks like a portable SNES myself, and it probably can’t work with NES cartridges cause of the different pin connectors. Silly typos.
As for the legality of the system, they can release such a product after a certain Nintendo’s initial patent is over (something like 15-20 years for the patent on the system). Anyone remember the NEX? cause this is similar but just a portable SNES.
A guy made an SNES out of a block of wood, and he was playing Starfox on it. Oh what I would do to get that machine!
O, and it was portable
