Andriasang reports that when a fan asked on Twitter when the world would hear something about Bayonetta 2, Hideki Kamiya, one of the founders of developer Platinum Games and the director behind the original Bayonetta, simply replied “This week… in a game magazine…” A sequel to the 2009 hack ‘n slash has not officially been announced by either Platinum Games or Sega, with whom the developer has already published five titles. No Japanese gaming magazine has stated that it will be unveiling a new title in its upcoming issue. If the game is indeed unveiled this week, it seems likely that more information on the title will be made available during the Tokyo Game Show in September.
