Electronic Arts has confirmed that the Ultima Forever services will be shut down on August 29th, on the game’s forum.
The shut down of the free-to-play iOS title, follows the closure of developer EA Mythic back in May.
“This was a very difficult decision for us to make,” reads the post, in part. “We’ve seen the game through ups and downs, and hope that you’ve enjoyed playing it every bit as much as we had making it! Through it all, it’s been players like you who’ve made it all worthwhile.”
The post also reveals that for the game’s final month, in-game rewards will be boosted, equipment degradation will be disabled, Gold key drop rate will increase and the in-game store will not longer sell premium currency.
