In an interview with bitmob.com, co-founder of the legendary developer Oddworld Inhabitants Lorne Lanning revealed that a collection called The OddBox will be making its way to Steam and other digital distribution networks later this year. Additionally, he revealed that the original two installments in the series will be made on Playstation Network “soon”. For more information, please follow the jump.
The OddBox will contain all four games released as part of the Oddworld canon. This will include Abe’s Oddysee (Playstation, 1997), Abe’s Exodus (Playstation, 1998), Munch’s Oddysee (Xbox, 2001) and Stranger’s Wrath (Xbox, 2005). It will be made on Steam and other digital downloading services later this winter, though a specific date was not named.
Abe’s Oddysee and Abe’s Exodus have been confirmed to be planned for release on Playstation Network. No specific release date was mentioned, however.
