As expected, EA announced a new installment in the Crysis series earlier today. Crysis 3, once again developed by German developer Crytech, is set for a launch in Spring 2013 on PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. More details are available after the jump.

Similar to the second installment, Crysis 3 will be set in New York City. However, the area is now encased in a “nanodome” that seals the city off from the outside world. As a result, the city has literally turned into a jungle with seven distinct environments.

Players will have access to a compound bow, and once again face off against both human CELL operatives and alien invaders known as the Ceph.

EA has also announced the Hunter Edition for the game, which includes early access to the Bow and the Hunter Nanosuit module for multiplayer, three exclusive dogtags, an XP head-start, and a unique skin for the Bow. In addition to this edition, three pre-order bonusses have been revealed, though there is no information available at this as to which retailers will be associated with which pre-order bonus.
