Montreal, Canada – One of Ubisoft’s most prominent members, Jade Raymond, is to become the head of the soon-to-be-opened studio located in Toronto, Canada. Raymond previously worked as producer for 2007’s Assassin’s Creed and is currently Executive producer for the sequel to that game, set for release in November.

It is currently unclear what types of projects the new Toronto studio will be undertaking and whether it will focus on new IPs or continue work on older ones. Yannis Malat, CEO of Ubisoft’s Montreal studio and therefore Raymond’s former boss, stated that he is confident that her 12 years of experience in the industry will be a great asset to the new Toronto studio.

Raymond herself stated that she is looking forward to establishing a new team to work on triple-A titles as well as new intellectual properties.
