Cologne, Germany – Alexander House, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, rounded out his time on stage at this year’s GamesCom by discussing, among other things, the holiday release of EyePet. The interactive furry playmate will retail for approximately 50 euros, and come bundled with the necessary Playstation EyeToy Camera.
House also briefly mentioned the motion controller “wand,” but only in a brief tease for a trailer, real details expected for next month’s Tokyo Game Show.
David Cage, founder of developer Quantic Dream, then took the stage to debut footage of the last playable character for the upcoming film-noir/mystery action title, Heavy Rain. Ethan Marr is an architect still reeling from the loss of his son, whose death by car crash is shown in an accompanying trailer, and has four days to redeem both his son and himself as he follows along in the case against the mysterious Origami Killer.
