A delayed announcement from this year’s Tokyo Game Show, PSP owners will be getting a feature similar to the PS3’s social environment Home. Simply called Playstation Room (an infinity symbol replacing the two ‘o’s in the title,) the service will be made available via a firmware update, to be released sometime this Winter in Japan. Accessible through the cross media bar, the style of Room will be much more cartoonish and stylized than Home, most likely due to the hardware restraints of the portable system. Gamers will be available to create customized avatars and living spaces, and interact with other users with similar digital spaces.
